Educational Interpreter ASL to English
"Funding is critical when you’re thinking about providing services, providing access to a really authentic, relevant education. It’s one thing to provide technology, but if you don’t provide a way for people to access and learn how to use it, then its redundant. You don’t need it. Funding supports individualized access to education for students. Without it, you can’t really do that."
Jennifer is an educational interpreter for American Sign Language to English from Durham, Ontario. She sees the impact cuts have on marginalized students and the classroom as a whole.
Like hundreds of thousands of educators and parents across Ontario, Jennifer is concerned about the impact Doug Ford's cuts to education including fewer courses, less support staff and more crowded classrooms, will have on Ontario's future.
